History

TIVIT invites you to make a tour on the company's history, with the most remarkable facts of that trajectory. In the timeline, you can discover the crucial details that have made TIVIT the leading company in integrated IT Management and BPM in Latin America.

  TeleFutura is created, a business process outsourcing (BPO its acronym in English) company focused on critical and complex operations.

1998
 

Optiglobe built two data centers in Brazil, the only ones Class 5 in the country (meaning 99.999% availability per year), located in Rio de Janeiro (Barra) and São Paulo (Transamerica).

1999

 

Votorantim Novos Negócios (VNN) becomes a shareholder of Telefutura, supporting the company in its growth strategy and corporate management practices.

Inauguration of President Vargas siteWhen it first opened, the site had 160 employees and an area of 330 m². Today there are over 2,000 people occupying an area of 5,040 m².

Inauguration of República site – Initially, the site had only 450 employees. Located on Praça da República in the center São Paulo city, TIVIT currently occupies 13 floors of the building, where they work more than 4,000 employees.

2001

 

VNN acquires 100% stake in Optiglobe and begins a transformation, which widens the services's scope of the Information Technology Company.

2002

 

VNN acquires Proceda, which had wide competences in mainframe processing and expertise in the financial market.

2004

 

Optiglobe becomes TIVIT and the company begins to competing with the largest IT services providers in the country.

2005

 

The Pátria Banco de Investimentos, specialized in Corporate Advisory and Differentiated Investment Management becomes shareholder of Telefutura.

Inauguration of Mogi site – The Mogi das Cruzes (SP) site started its activities with about 170 employees. With a continuous and gradual growth, reached more than 3,700 employees and a area of more than 6,000 m².

2006

 

TIVIT and Telefutura join under the brand TIVIT. The union creates the first Brazilian company of IT and BPO integrated services.

Inauguration of São José dos Campos site – With an investment of R$ 24 million, the site Sao Jose dos Campos (SP) is launched. With operations in BPO and Application Systems areas, the site reached more than 4,500 employees.

 2007

 

TIVIT expands its international operations and opened an office in the United States, in order to win outsourcing contracts for IT systems and infrastructure.

Inauguration of São João site – With an area of 19,000 m² and 13 floors, the São João (SP) site has the capacity to accommodate up to 6,000 employees. The unit has operations in BPO and Application Systems.

2008 

 

On September 28th, TIVIT does the IPO at BM&FBOVESPA (Stock ExchangeW). Afer that, the company became part of the "New Market" Portfolio, which are part the most mature companies in corporate governance of the capital market.

Inauguration of France office – Reinforcing its international operations, TIVIT opens an office in Paris to serve multinational customers and identify new business opportunities.

2009

 

The Apax Partners, one of the greatest investment funds in the world, acquired 54.25% of TIVIT, and now holds the shareholder control and contribute to the company's strategy for business growth in Brazil and worldwide.

Inauguration of Estação site – With an investment of R$ 10 million, TIVIT opens his first technological development pole in the city of Curitiba (PR) for making projects for national and local clients.

2010

 

Inauguration of the 2nd factory of Applications Systems in Curitiba – Situated on the campus of SPEI Educational Group, the unit is part of the project developed in partnership with the institution, which aims to develop new professionals by bringing together the business and educational world.

Inauguration of Santos site – With an investment of R$ 35 million, the site Santos (SP) houses operations of BPO and Applications Systems. With an area of 13,000 m², has the capacity to hold up to 4,500 professionals.
